Postage is one of the easiest costs to cut in a small online business, but comparing couriers usually means opening four websites and guessing which size band your parcel falls into. A few centimetres or a few hundred grams can move you into a much more expensive band.
Enter your parcel’s measurements and weight below. We’ll show every Royal Mail, Evri and InPost service it fits, cheapest first, so you can see the real price difference before you print a label.

Prices checked October 2026. Royal Mail prices are its online rates from 5 October 2026 (buying at a Post Office counter costs more). Evri and InPost prices are their standard online rates for individual senders. Prices include VAT and can change, so confirm on the courier’s site before booking.
Speeds are each courier’s target, not a guarantee. Evri’s maximum dimensions for larger parcels aren’t listed on its price page, so check them for big or awkward items. InPost locker sizes are 8, 19 and 41cm deep (all 38 x 64cm), up to 15kg. Business accounts and marketplace labels (eBay, Vinted, Amazon) are often cheaper.
Not included: DPD (quotes per booking), Parcelforce and courier comparison sites. See our shipping company reviews for reliability and service quality.
Tips for paying less on postage
Measure the packed parcel, not the item. Packaging adds centimetres, and size limits are strict. Dropping from a 20cm-deep box to a 16cm-deep mailer can move you from a medium to a small parcel band.
Locker delivery is usually cheapest. If your customers are happy to collect, InPost locker-to-locker and Evri ParcelShop delivery can cost half as much as delivery to the door. Offering it as a cheaper checkout option lets customers choose.
Tracked can cost less than untracked. Royal Mail’s Tracked 48 is cheaper online than 2nd Class for small parcels, and it gives you proof of delivery if a customer says an order never arrived.
Buy online, not at the counter. Royal Mail’s Post Office counter prices are higher than its online Click & Drop prices for the same service.
