Why have we built this website?

We built this site for people running or starting an online business whether you’re comparing Shopify and WooCommerce before your first launch, trying to cut payment processing fees on a growing store, or working out which courier won’t lose your parcels during a busy season. If you’ve ever opened ten browser tabs trying to compare pricing pages that don’t actually list their prices, you’re exactly who we write for.

How are the reviews handled?

Every review starts from the same question: what would we recommend to a friend opening a store? We sign up for real accounts, test checkout flows, dig through pricing tiers and hidden fees, and compare features side by side rather than relying on a vendor’s own marketing claims. Where possible, we track how a platform or provider performs over months, not just on day one because pricing structures, support quality, and reliability often look very different once you’re actually using the tool day to day.

Do we get paid for reviews?

We don’t accept payment in exchange for a positive review, and we say so clearly on every page where affiliate links appear. Our goal is to be the place merchants come back to before every tooling decision, not a one-time landing page you skim past. If a platform isn’t good enough to recommend, we’ll tell you even if that means a shorter list of “winners” than you’d find elsewhere.
