Ecommerce Merchant Benchmarks 2027: Take the Survey

How do other online stores really perform? Most benchmark numbers come from software companies with something to sell, or from big brands that look nothing like a typical store. We want numbers from ordinary UK and US merchants, so we’re asking them directly.

The survey takes about 7 minutes. We’ll publish the results free on this page in January 2027 as the EcommerceViews Merchant Benchmarks 2027 report.

Who can take part

Anyone who owns or runs an online store that has taken orders in the last 12 months, with most customers in the UK or US. If you work for an agency, please send this page to the store owner instead.

What we ask about

Conversion rate, order value, returns, couriers, payment options, how you use AI tools and what worries you about 2027. Most questions have a “Don’t know” answer, so you don’t need to look anything up.

How we handle your answers

We don’t ask for your name or your company. We only publish totals and percentages, never a single store’s answers. Raw answers are deleted 12 months after the report comes out. If you want a copy of the report, you can leave your email on a separate form at the end, and it is never linked to your answers. Our privacy policy has the details.

EcommerceViews doesn’t sell any platform licence or store build. Our author is Marketing Director at OpenCart, which is one of the platforms you can pick in the survey. Every platform is listed the same way, and the results will be published whatever they show.
